Rally School Report Card<br />

Perhaps washing the car brought the rain or maybe a gathering<br />
of rally cars did it, but wasn't it nice to see the roads<br />
washed clean? Still, we had 12 no-shows so the rain must<br />
have scared a few away. Oh, well, we still had 38 enthusiastic souls<br />
come to learn about the sport of road rally. Most of those people<br />
were able to stay all day and participate in the afternoon rally, which<br />
featured my favorite roller-coaster road and some spectacular<br />
skyline views. Three additional teams came just for the rally.<br />
We were pleased to have several members of the Metroplex<br />
Mini Club join us for the day. They did well and one pair from<br />
the Mini Club carried home a trophy. We presented trophies to<br />
the top three finishing teams.<br />

There were 12 additional PCA members who attended the<br />
school session and morning rally: Frank and Bobby Briggs, Shelly<br />
and Brittany Burbank, Steve and Trish Christensen, Mike and<br />
Arlene Fricke, Ed and Tracy Gross, Mike and Maria Stafford.<br />
Also, Doc and Trish Chandler, Members of the Lone Star<br />
Corvette Club joined us for the morning session.<br />
There are three rallies left in the series this year:<br />
• <strong>March</strong> 25 - A scavenger hunt style Photo Rally in and near<br />
the Solana area<br />
• July 9 - An Instructed Route Rally, probably in Parker<br />
County<br />
• August 26 - A Hare and Hound Rally, location to be<br />
determined.<br />
Points accumulate for each rally attended and series trophies<br />
will be presented at the <strong>2006</strong> Founders Day celebration. Come<br />
join us, just for the fun of it.<br />
