celebrating this anniversary.
Not content to have just
one giant “gala” at the
end of the year, and always
ready-to-celebrate, our
beloved Maverick Region
will be having 50th-focused
events all year long! The 50th
Committee has included many
affordable, low-cost events that
can include all members, past
and present; old and young.
This column will highlight those
events, include interviews, Maverick
Region fun facts, recount
stories from our history, or relate
special incidents from within our
Maverick “family.” I’m looking for

Here are a few interesting
facts about our Region over
these 50 years:
* The fifteen Charter
Members (including wives)
first met at the Fiesta Best
Western Motel in Arlington,
November 1962. Current
membership: over 2,000
including affiliates.
