as well as for events all year, was<br />
recognized with a standing ovation<br />
and of course tears and hugs.<br />
Then there was the drawing for<br />
a free trip to Germany. The raffle<br />
that has been<br />
going on all year<br />
long was at its<br />
finale, and the<br />
winner, whose<br />
raffle ticket was<br />
drawn by Lisa<br />
Huffaker of the<br />
Huffaker-Hughes<br />
Hope House, was<br />
Wendy Shoffit.<br />
The subtle murmur<br />
of the nonwinners’<br />
groans<br />
was dwarfed by<br />
Wendy’s cries<br />
of “Are you<br />
kidding me?!”<br />
The evening<br />
ended with Lisa Steele’s<br />
amazing and poignant video<br />
of Mavericks expressing their<br />
passion and love of Porsches,<br />
PCA and of course, Maverick<br />
Region.<br />
