dominoes: stand them on end

We all leave legacies. And 

each legacy is different 

because everyone is different. 

We seldom realize that we 

actually leave two different 

types of legacies. Most of the 

time we think of leaving a 

legacy of valuables: money, 

stocks, property, insurance, 

vehicles, jewelry - things that 

have monetary value. 

But we rarely think of the 

legacy we leave that has 

eternal value - a value that has 

moral and spiritual influence 

or impact on the lives of 

others. Whether or not we 

realize it or want to admit it, we 

cannot not influence or impact 

the lives of others. 

The writer of Psalm 71 was 

very conscious of the spiritual 

values he would leave behind. 

“Even when I am old and grey,” 

he wrote, “do not forsake me 

my God, till I declare Your power 

to the next generation, Your 

mighty acts to all who are to 

come.” 

In the preceding verses he 

recalled the goodness of God in 

his life: “You are my refuge, my 

rock, my fortress, my hope, my 

confidence, my teacher, my 

Savior.” God had been with 

Him, had honored and protected 

him and made his life 

worthwhile. He wanted others 

to know this God. 

So, he asked God to spare him 

so he could share His Word.

Dear Friends and Co-laborers,

Based on Poundage.. of Course. 

I wanted to write to give you an update on my health and all that was 

going on in our Lives. So many of you have Prayed for my wife and I. 

The Lord has touched my wife. She has been so sick for months. The 

doctor had removed her driving privileges, she was so weak, UNBE- 

LIEVABLE! She could not walk from the living room to the kitchen. 

We had taken her to doctors, specialists, to no avail, but a few days 

before me going in the hospital, she said “Mel, I feel better than I have 

felt in a long time.” God touched her so she could be there for ME.. 

HALLELUJAH... 

Ps 107:20 HE SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED THEM.. We are 

getting better after several days in ICU and then went to Lexington 

hospital. They removed a tumor about the size of your thumb in my 

throat, which bless the LORD it wasn’t CANCER. I shouted “Bless 

the LORD”, lost my voice for a time, but we are getting STRONGER 

everyday (Acts 17-28) and back to preaching (not everyday). I had to 

cancel so many meetings. I am sorrowful, but somethings I have no 

control over, but I appreciate with all my heart for your understanding. 

We are soon going to be into THANKSGIVING! There is so much to 

be thankful for! YOUR HOME, YOUR HEALTH, YOUR HERITAGE. 

We take so much for granted, in Eph 5:20 GIVING THANKS (AL- 

WAYS) for ALL THINGS.. hard to do.. but I am learning from our 

heart. I am thankful for all the cards and encouragement and for the 

concern and HELPING US.. God Bless you. Luke 6:38

Apple Pecan Cornbread Dressing 

Ingredients 

1 (9x9 inch) pan cornbread, 

cooled and crumbled 

1 (8 ounce) package herbseasoned 

dry bread stuffing 

mix 

2 tablespoons chopped fresh 

parsley 

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

3/4 cup butter 

1 cup chopped celery 

1 cup chopped onion 

2 cups chopped apples 

1/2 cup chopped pecans 

2 cups apple juice 

3 eggs, beaten 

Prep Time: 15Min * Cook 40Min * Ready 55 Min 

Makes 8 Servings 600Cal 

Instructions 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 3 quart casserole dish. 

Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan, and saute the celery and onion 

for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender. In a large bowl, combine the 

cornbread, stuffing mix, parsley, ginger, and salt. Mix in the celery 

and onion mixture, chopped apple, chopped pecans, apple juice, and beaten eggs. Spoon dressing 

into prepared casserole dish. 

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until heated through, and lightly browned on 

top.
