UTIB promoted Turkey’s
contract business
potential at FIA 2016,
Algeria
FIA 2016 Fair held for the
49th at Palais des Expositions from
28 May to 02 June 2016. 810 firms
including 405 foreign companies from
33 countries were represented in the
event that covers 52 thousand sqm.
Last year 76% of participants of 1,385
were domestic companies.
Companies from 28 countries
participated in the exhibition under
their national pavilions. They were
Japan, China, Iran, Pakistan, South
Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia,
South Africa, Senegal, Mali, Sudan,
Cuba, USA, Chili, Tunis, Egypt,
Palestine, Syria, Libya, Turkey,
France, Germany, Poland, Portugal,
Czech Republic and Italy.
Turkish pavilion was the largest
having more than 70 participating
companies on 2,397 sqm area. With
957 sqm space, Chinese pavilion was
the second largest.
UTIB, Uludag Textile Exporters
Association, had a 12sqm-info
booth in the event where Contract
Business magazine and catalogues
in French and English that are
covering products and companies
in marble and textile businesses
were distributed. Representatives of
UTIB also visited the booths of other
exhibitors personally and had talks
especially with their counterparts
from Egypt and Palestine with an
aim to organize joint events in other
locations.
