Turkey’s economy and
foreign trade functions
better and stronger!
As is known an unfortunate coup
attempt ignoring the national will, and
aiming at dragging the present and
future of the Turkish nation to darkness,
has been experienced on 15th
July 2016. Fortunately our nation
has responded the FETÖ terrorist
organization masqueraded as military
with the best way and proved its
commitment to democracy once again.
The will of our nation and respectful
cooperation of the state organizations
caused failure of the attempt of
FETÖ terrorist organization which
threatens our unity and future. July
15 has taken its respectful place in the
history as a day which announcing our
belief and our commitment to democracy
to the world.
Strong democracy is the guaranty of
strong economy and powerful Turkey.
Despite the unaccustomed developments
the maintenance of regular
economic parameters is the indication
of a well-established economy and
convenient and powerful country.
The Turkish economy which hosts
almost 40 thousand foreign investors,
increased its export volume by 400%
in the last 15 years and more than
tripled GNP raising it to 720 billion
dollars, has been growing uninterruptedly
for 26 quarters.
Attracting 150 billion dollar worth
of foreign capital in the last decade,
Turkey has been an attractive center
for new investments thanks to its in
centive and privatization policies. The
foreign investor who trusted Turkey
has never lost.
Achieving an historical solidarity and
common working culture between all
forces including the ruling party as
well as the opposition, our country is
closer today to its targets as positioning
among the top-ten economies of
the world.
With the normalization period our
government started in foreign policy
especially with Russia and Israel,
Turkey has been assuming the major
responsibility in political and economic
stability of our geography.
We, as the representatives of the
business world, have been advancing
to all of our targets with the common
belief we bear with more convenient
steps. In line with the export-oriented
development targets of our country
at this time when we have focused on
production and exports more, we, as
UTIB, have been entering an intensive
working tempo. Our international
fair activities will start with Shanghai
where Intertextile Home Textile will
open on August 24. Leading the way
for 22 Turkish exhibitors we will
realize a professional display at this
important event. We will address to
the Chinese and visitors coming from
varios countries of the world with our
quality and value added products and
we will establish new trade relations.

In September we will be displaying
our products in The Hotel Show –
Dubai, one of the most important
events of the hospitality industry and
Heimtextil Russia, which will be realized
in Moscow, and we will observe
the innovations in the market.

to lead the way for our firms and to
continue our activities with ambition
and determination. With these feelings
and thoughts I hope you success in
your endeavors and I offer my heartfelt
