<strong>Measurement</strong> Set Up and <strong>Measurement</strong> System APC-4i for Measuring<br />

under Compaction Force<br />

The shown measurement setup allows the measurement of the radial<br />

rigidity of the system of press, die set and reference clamping system<br />

under the action of a compaction force. The measurement is done in<br />

the radial directions X and Y with the help of four probes and a round<br />

measurement pin (e.g. P-002 684).<br />

Under the influence of the compaction force the round elastomer<br />

spring element is deformed and the radial movement of the<br />

measurement pin is measured.<br />

The measured deflections provide information about the rigidity of<br />

the system press, die set and reference clamping system in the<br />

compaction process under compressive force.<br />
