Windows Mobile Wizard/Smart Device Setup Wizard
The Welcome panel provides a brief introduction to the wizard. The wizard helps you build and
customize installations for Windows Mobile devices.
Note: When you launch this wizard from the Mobile Devices view, it is called the Windows Mobile Wizard. When you launch
this wizard by creating a new Smart Device project, it is called the Smart Device Setup Wizard.
Click Next to begin using the wizard.
Application Information Panel
The Application Information panel is used to specify information needed to install the application onto
the Windows Mobile or smart device.

Setting Description
Project Type Select the type of application that you want to support in your project.
Desktop Settings Panel
Note: You cannot change this option once you complete the wizard. You will have to
create a new application via the wizard to add to your project.
Application Name Provide the name of your application for Windows Mobile devices or smart devices.
Company Name Provide the name of your company or the company that produced the application.
Application Description Provide a brief description of your application.
Caution: Because of the algorithm used to name .cab files in the installation, using very
long application names and/or company names can cause problems with the installation,
especially if you are targeting numerous platforms.
Note: The Desktop Settings panel is not displayed if you are using the Smart Device Setup Wizard.
