PROGRAMME INFORMATION
The IPU NATIONAL PHARMACY CONFERENCE offers pharmacists
an opportunity to build on their CPD, with innovative learning experiences
throughout the weekend. There will be 10 educational sessions held over
the weekend, commencing on Friday evening. We have worked with IPU
members, IPU Academy, financial advisers, industry representatives and
other organisations to develop a comprehensive and educational programme
to support you with your CPD. The programme features professional and
business sessions, covering a wide range of topics from investment strategies
and motivation and leadership, through to dementia and ostomy. For a full

The conference also offers invaluable networking opportunities and faceto-face
contact with peers. The conference is open to all pharmacists, nonpharmacist
pharmacy owners who are IPU members and Pharmacy Interns.
Pharmacy Staff are also invited to attend on the Friday evening. There are
numerous networking opportunities throughout the weekend, from the tea/
coffee breaks to the President’s Dinner & Ball.
The IPU Pharmacy Seminar will form part of this year’s conference and will
be held on Friday 5 May from 10.00am to 1.00pm. A number of highprofile
speakers will address topics such as the economic and social value
of community pharmacy; advances in the contribution of pharmacists
to healthcare in Canada; the patient’s perspective; and the current and
potential future role of pharmacists in Ireland.

Tradeshow Exhibition
In 2016, we introduced a tradeshow element to the conference. Over 30
companies will be available to meet with you and share their products and
services and take sales orders.
The Tradeshow Exhibition will be open at the following times:
Friday 5 May: 3.30pm-8.15pm
Saturday 6 May: 8.30am-3.30pm
Etihad Skyline Tour
Running alongside our conference programme we are providing an activity
for partners and family. The Etihad Skyline tour gives visitors an opportunity
to learn about Dublin’s history with panoramic views of the capital city from
17 storeys high on the roof of Croke Park Stadium. We are happy to be able
to offer this unique experience at the subsidised rate of €5 per person. The
tour is available at 11am on Saturday 6 May and 11am on Sunday 7 May.
Please note there is a height restriction of 1.2m for children.
