Have you met your aims and objectives set last year?<br />
The group has continued to provide a range of education sessions through and on behalf of the UKCPA, and has been<br />
involved with reviewing a range of national and NICE guidelines and technology appraisals.<br />
The group is currently working on the Advanced Curricula as part of the Knowledge Interface Tool.<br />
The Group has been active on Twitter; improving communication, sharing resources and updating followers on latest<br />
research and current best practice. The Respiratory Group currently has 525 followers.<br />
Committee members are promoting the UKCPA Respiratory Group amongst primary and secondary care colleagues at<br />
pharmacy conferences and meetings.<br />
Aims and objectives for next 12 months<br />
To provide a joint Journal of Medicines Optimisation (JOMO)/UKCPA National Respiratory Workshop in February 2017 in<br />
Birmingham.<br />
To review the feasibility for providing regional Masterclasses based on the JOMO/UKCPA Respiratory Workshop.<br />
To complete the update of the Core Advanced Curriculum for respiratory specialist pharmacists for the RPS Knowledge<br />
Interface Tool.<br />
Improve networking with members and encourage membership of pharmacists working in primary care.<br />
Increase membership of the newsgroup and encourage discussion, improve communication, share resources and<br />
continually update the membership database.<br />

Online discussion group<br />
There are 1,310 members registered on the online discussion group, an increase of 5.7%, with daily activity.<br />
Committee meetings<br />
A meeting of three committee members took place in September 2016 in Manchester where plans for the next 18 months<br />
were discussed, and a further meeting of four members later that month in London. Regular email conversations also take<br />
place.<br />
