13. Using the skills you have learned, export your selection to a new layer. Set the
symbology for the new layer to something that stands out.
14. Turn off the Commercial_Floodplain_Union layer so your new layer stands out even
more.
15. Save your project and close ArcGIS Pro.
You have just identified the parcels within the city that meet the Director’s requirements.
You used various analysis and selection tools to answer his question. As you can see, it is
not unusual to use multiple tools and methods to get the required answers to what may
seem to be a simple question. Believe it or not, once you get familiar and comfortable with
these tools, the process you just completed can be done in less than 10 minutes. It just
takes practice.
