After 24 years, <strong>PM</strong>-International is<br />

the European network-marketing<br />

flagship par excellence, which is<br />

growing year after year in quantum<br />

leaps: $350 million in 2015, $460<br />

million revenue in 2016. The journey<br />

is the reward: Rolf Sorg has a<br />

billion turnover clearly within his<br />

sights.<br />

Arecent study of market potential<br />

for <strong>PM</strong>-International shows<br />

that its ‚one billion sales‘ vision is<br />

quite realistic: the German market<br />

alone, once again the number one<br />

of the <strong>PM</strong> countries, has 500,000<br />

potential customers meaning a sales<br />

potential of 1.2 billion euros. So<br />

far nine percent of <strong>PM</strong>’s German<br />

market have developed according<br />

to the latest market figures.<br />

Bernd Seitz and Rolf Sorg have<br />

known each other for over 15 years.<br />

Of course the question which now<br />

naturally arises is whether such a<br />

successful entrepreneur who started<br />

from zero, has changed? „Rolf<br />

Sorg has evolved as a seasoned entrepreneur.<br />

However, he has remained<br />

thoroughly down to earth. A<br />

medium-sized family entrepreneur<br />

who has not let his success go to his<br />

head. He has remained approachable,<br />

lives, for his standards, modestly<br />

and has no expensive hobbies:<br />

whatever he earns, is invested right<br />

back into the company. The result<br />

speaks for itself: <strong>PM</strong>-International AG<br />

has an equity ratio of 100 percent“,<br />

reports Bernd Seitz.<br />

Network-Karriere: Next year <strong>PM</strong>-<br />

International turns 25 and may well<br />

skip the magical 500-million dollar<br />

sales mark. If you continue at the<br />

pace of recent years your stated<br />

„one billion sales‘ target could be<br />

realized by <strong>PM</strong>‘s 30th birthday.<br />

Rolf Sorg: We are working on it, but<br />

we are not putting ourselves under<br />

pressure. Sales and money is not<br />

everything. A healthy, sustainable<br />

growth in the traditional <strong>PM</strong> countries,<br />

whose huge potential has as<br />

yet only been slightly tapped into,<br />

as well as in new countries such as<br />

Namibia and South Korea, which we<br />

are launching this year, is important<br />

to us.<br />

<strong>NK</strong>: The $460 million sales have already<br />

been reached in Europe, Asia<br />

and America. As you know, there are<br />

a number of large network-marketing<br />

companies, who have grown in<br />

other continents but have lost out<br />

in the European market. Have there<br />

been serious revenue shifts on<br />

behalf of other continents at <strong>PM</strong>?<br />

Rolf Sorg: No. For <strong>PM</strong>, Germany can<br />

be compared to the legendary Volkswagen<br />

Beetle. It just keeps running<br />

and running and running. The European<br />

countries are stable markets<br />

with almost infinite market opportunities<br />

for us. Italy and Norway are<br />

currently growing explosively.<br />

<strong>NK</strong>: How is it that these two countries,<br />

compared to the other non-<br />

German-speaking countries, are standing<br />

out due to their particularly<br />

positive development? Norway is<br />

not an extremely huge country<br />

with a population of just over five<br />

million and Italy is in a debt crisis<br />

where unemployment is at a record<br />

high.<br />

Rolf Sorg: First of all, and this is true<br />

for all <strong>PM</strong>-countries, we have a unique<br />

product portfolio with first-class<br />

by millions of people. Secondly,<br />

and of this I am especially proud,<br />

we have fantastic sales teams that<br />

are constantly growing and rejuvenating<br />

their own ranks.<br />

<strong>NK</strong>: On the subject of young Distributors<br />

at <strong>PM</strong>: we have recently reported<br />

about an 18-year old Italian<br />

who had built up a career within a<br />
