Eldridge IA for
their donation
of a car load
of items, which
included this
beautiful quilt
and many other
items. They have
been wonderful
friends of the
camp both
individually and as members of several
organizations.
It was a treat to have the Scarlet Old Hatters
tour Camp Courageous. Most of the ladies
were from the Cedar Rapids and Marion area.
The group ate with the campers and toured
the camp. Great group who really enjoy life!
Edna Pierce with the Cedar County Farm
Bureau Women is standing beside the
wonderful donations she and her organization
collected for camp. She said the can tabs
collected has come from friends and family
from several states. The Cedar County Farm
Bureau Women has been very generous to
camp through the years with their gifts of much
needed items and frequently volunteer doing
whatever project is asked of them. Thank you
so much ladies!
the Davenport Shriners and Masons who had
an Octoberfest for the camp.
Thank you to George Busch, who stopped
by the camp with his wife and sister-in-law
Regina Busch, with a check from the Amvets
Post 150 of Charlotte. George's late brother,
Roger, was very active with the camp.
Thank you to Candy Mullen, representing
the Cedar Valley Running Association, who
presented several cases of T-shirts and running
campers. This wonderful group have been long
time friends and supporters of the camp.
Thank you to
Lorraine Eastman,
from Hanover, IL
and her friends
for collecting all
these boxes of
tabs. Lorraine is
super dedicated to
this project, and as
a result, she has
many friends that
love to help her!
A special thank you to Faye Reynolds from
Palo for a donation of sacks and sacks of
items, from fleece blanks to scarves, hats, and
A big thank you to Anamosa Boy Scout Troop
19, L.D.S. Church in Mt. Vernon, and Stacy
Fritz's Tae Kwon Do group for spending their
many occasions when we need help.
It was great to have Molly Jones (R-pictured
with camper Rebekah Bentley from Waterloo,
IA) back as a Volunteer Counselor this fall.
Molly came all the way from Kirksville, MO to
volunteer for a respite weekend in October. It
was great to see you Molly! Hope to see you
again soon.
