The <strong>Signal</strong> <strong>Center</strong>’s Lifelong<br />

Learning <strong>Center</strong> is converging the<br />

many facets <strong>of</strong> dL via products,<br />

resources, and services available<br />

through the LandWarNet eU and<br />

LandWarNet eU <strong>Signal</strong> web portals.<br />

The dL available via the web portals<br />

leverages <strong>Army</strong> and <strong>Signal</strong> specific<br />

training materials to benefit and<br />

11th <strong>Signal</strong> Brigade’s Unit University website.<br />

address the training needs <strong>of</strong> the<br />

entire <strong>Signal</strong> Regiment. Additionally,<br />

the training products <strong>of</strong>fered<br />

are designed to make the job <strong>of</strong> unit<br />

training representatives less labor<br />

intensive by providing access to a<br />

“Unit University “ program and<br />

wide-variety <strong>of</strong> personal computerbased<br />

equipment simulators.<br />

LWNeU Unit Universities <strong>of</strong>fer<br />

customized training for units’<br />

specific training requirements<br />

One <strong>of</strong> the main functions <strong>of</strong><br />

LandWarNet e-University is to work<br />

directly with unit training staffs to<br />

identify training requirements and<br />

deliver training resources for<br />

mission, pre-deployment, equipment,<br />

and sustainment support.<br />

Whether it’s <strong>Signal</strong> military occupational<br />

specialty-specific training,<br />

common user <strong>Signal</strong> and Information<br />

Technology training, or Battle<br />

Command training – LandWarNet e-<br />

U has a wealth <strong>of</strong> training resources<br />

available and stored in one convenient<br />

area.<br />

Examples <strong>of</strong> included training<br />

in our unit universities are the JNN<br />

Electronic Quick Reference Guide; SKL<br />

(Simple Key Loader) Web-based<br />

training; Phoenix (AN/TSC-156A)<br />

simulation; and links to Command<br />

Posts <strong>of</strong> the Future, <strong>Army</strong> Battle<br />

Command Systems and Force XXI<br />

Battle Command, Brigade and Below<br />

Blue Force Tracking training.<br />

We are also actively supporting<br />

<strong>Army</strong> Directors <strong>of</strong> Information<br />

Management and their staffs by<br />

providing a platform where each<br />

DOIM can access a variety <strong>of</strong><br />

training resources to support their<br />

missions. Current DOIM training<br />

examples include: Cisco Certified<br />

Network Associate training, Voice<br />

over Internet Protocol training, and<br />

links to Spectrum Management,<br />

Power Steering, and Lean Six Sigma<br />

training.<br />
