May at Mayo’s for <strong>2017</strong>: Return to Cinco de Mayo Weekend<br />

ne of our major Social and Concours gatherings<br />
of the year is May at Mayo’s! This<br />

year the date is Cinco de Mayo weekend on<br />
Saturday, May 6, at Mayo Performance in<br />
Euless. Last year we had many members attend, and we<br />
had over 70 great Porsches of all vintages on display.<br />
While many had come<br />
just for the Concours, a good<br />
number of people joined us<br />
for dinner. This event kicked<br />
off the Maverick Region’s<br />
Concours season. Concours<br />
d’Elegance Chair Andy Kay<br />
managed the car contest, and<br />
had the winners identified by<br />
the time we were done with<br />
dinner!<br />
This year, catering will be<br />

provided by Desperados Mexican<br />
Restaurant of Garland.<br />
Several members dine there<br />
often and are big fans of the restaurant’s fabulous<br />
Mexican fare. The menu will be a little different from<br />
last year’s offering, and should be a favorite of all. Oh<br />
yes, did I mention that we will have Margaritas and beer<br />
too?<br />

begins at 4 pm, People’s Choice voting begins at 5, dinner<br />
is at 6, and awards are presented at about 7.<br />
