Sllrat Al-'Asr
(The Time) CID
In the Name of Allah
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. By Al-'Asr (the time).

2. Verily, man is in loss,

3. Except those who believe (in Islamic 1;....1_,i.,~l~_,!f--ol .. lJ.~l'il
Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds,
and recommend one another to the truth [i.e. ®~~i;;-1;~~~
order one another to perform all kinds of
good deeds (Al-Ma 'nil) which Allah has
ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins
and evil deeds (AI-Munkar) which Allah has
forbidden], and recommend one another to
patience (for the sufferings, banns, and
injuries which one may encounter in Allah's
Cause during preaching His religion of
Islamic Monotheism or Jihad).

In the Name of Allah
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1. Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 111
2. Who has gathered wealth and counted
it.
3. He thinks that his wealth will make him
last forever!
4. Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the
crushing Fire.
S. And what will make you know what the
crushing Fire is?
6. The fire of Allah kindled,
