Nasi Ambeng festival<br />
promotes Malaysian brands<br />
A variety of arts and cultural activities<br />
took place at the KL International Airport<br />
(KLIA) and klia2 during the month of April<br />
through the Nasi Ambeng festival to<br />
promote Malaysian brands.<br />
A joint venture between Malaysia Airports<br />
and Selangor National Department for<br />
Culture and Arts (JKKN), the programme<br />
is an initiative under the airport operator's<br />
'Joyful Malaysia' which aims to introduce<br />
the country's cultural heritage, unique<br />
taste of food and products as well as<br />
support the local and national agenda to<br />
promote Malaysia as the world's leading<br />
tourist destination.<br />
During the festival launch on April 6, JKKN<br />
Director, Ghazali Dugan said, "We at<br />
JKKN would like to express our gratitude<br />
for their (Malaysia Airports') willingness<br />
and support for the inaugural success of<br />
Japanese specialty store, Japan Avenue at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA<br />
Sepang (MOP KLIA) offers authentic Japanese gifts, souvenirs,<br />
skincare, household items, technology, snacks and culinary<br />
delights. Even the fresh food and condiments are imported<br />
directly from Japan.<br />
Dine at Sushi Maru, a premium Japanese restaurant and choose<br />
between casual dining or sitting at the sushi counter viewing the<br />
art of sushi-making by chefs. Must-trys at the restaurant include<br />
Salmon Oyaku Mori, Uni Sashimi and Soft Crab Harumaki.<br />
Additionally, throughout the year, patrons will be able to enjoy instore<br />
thematic promotions that reflect the seasons and festivities<br />
in Japan namely Food Kingdom Miyagi Gourmet Fair, Meet<br />
Kumamon! and Kyoto Fair <strong>2017</strong> which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.<br />
Mid-June will see a Cosmetic and Beauty Product Fair with<br />
imported cosmetics and beauty care products for face and body.<br />
