THE DRINKS
The carefully curated menu begins its
journey from the Garden of England, Kent.
The South East highlands covered in lush
greenery offers Kentish ingredients such as
cobnuts, hops and apples, inspiring long drinks
served in beautiful bespoke glass terrariums.
The drink, light and fresh, pays homage to the
flourishing and copious growth of this plush
green pocket.
The journey continues through swanky
and elegant London with the opulent Art Deco
era and decadent sophistication serving as
inspiration. Classic and heady, each cocktail
will be served in an elongated coupe on a silver
Art Deco tray. The allure of the Sherwood
Forest is next as the woodland ingredients and
ancient myth result in drinks served in a silver
goblet with a wooden base.
The boom of the industrial revolution is
attributed to the population of Yorkshire and
Lancashire (the Pennines). The mushrooming
of the era brought forward numerous changes
as trade opened up borders around the world.
Representing the new exploration, this section
features teas and exotic ingredients, and drinks
served in an intricately cut glass in a cog design
holding garnishes.
The journey ends up north at Castle Rock,
on the peak of Scotland’s Fortress, Edinburgh
Castle. The focus is on whiskies, Scottish
legends and wild flavours. This rock glass is
served perched high on shards of slate. The
‘Coast to Coast’ journey is acknowledging and
affirming the beautiful history of the island
and its people through a sensory experience
based on native ingredients
Each cocktail has a story to tell from its
unique mix of ingredients to the heart and
passion put in by the bartenders. Perhaps it’s
the old school charm coupled with the creative
menu that leaves you intrigued at American
Bar but one thing is certain that cocktail
culture is well on it way to its heyday.
