Notice anything familiar about the Portugieser
Chronograph Classic Ref. 3903? If you’re a
fan of the Portugieser’s old world aesthetic -
from its 1930’s inception through to the 2013
unveiling of the third chronograph in the
Portugieser family, the Ref. 3904 - then this
latest release by IWC Schaffhausen will catch
your eye from afar. The new model doesn’t
leave out the subtle details of its predecessor:
the railway-track chapter ring (now without
the subdivision of the seconds) and the
appliquéd Arabic numerals, to name a
few. Powered by the IWC-made 89361
calibre, this version comes in three
new colours, each with a transparent
sapphire glass case back that displays
the movement and the rotor bearing
the Geneva stripes design.
