Welcome to this Year’s Harness Races!
SUNDAY will be “CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DAY” at the races.
PRICES WILL BE GIVEN OUT. THEY INCLUDE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GIFTS, RESTAURANT GIFT
CERTIFICATICATES, BLANKETS AND THE BIG PRIZE BEING A T.V. DONATED BY WAL MART.
Again this year, some of our race program advertisers are sponsoring a PRIZE GIVEAWAY. These sponsors will have
their ad “HIGHLIGHTED IN RED” in one race program each race session. If you find a red “highlighted” ad in your
program, you’re a winner! You can claim your prize by taking your race program to the concession stand under the
grandstand. A list of sponsors and prizes will be announced several time each race session.
SO, COME AND ENJOY THE RACES, SUNDAY 12:30 P.M. & MONDAY NIGHT AT 6 P.M.
♦ The signature series is a late closing event with no nominating fee for horses 4 years old and up. Declarations for all signature
series races shall be taken three days prior to the event. Please reference the speed program of each individual fair for conditions.
♦ A cash bonus of $2,000 for 1st$and 1,000 for 2nd will be awarded for each gait to the horse with the most points accumulated
during the series. If a horse changes ownership during the series, the owner at the time the series is over is eligible for this cash
bonus.
♦ Accumulated points remain with the horse. When horses are tied in summary for total points, all horses are considered a winner
and the place monies are added together and divided equally.
♦ The point system is as follows: Starting-5, Win-5, Second-4, Third-3, Fourth-2, Fifth-1. Points for cash are awarded at all fairs
participating in the Signature Series, including Delaware.
♦ Points accumulated October 2015 at Lancaster, Ohio, Fairfield County Fair, will be the starting point of the 2017 Signature Series.
♦ The Signature Series Executive Committee will make final determination of any disputes and/or interpretations of the rules in a
timely manner.
