Will build a much-needed night shelter for their<br />

expanding homelessness project.<br />

Sow the City<br />

Will work with local residents to turn a plot of<br />

vacant land into a vegetable patch.<br />

Skating Edge<br />

Will provide weekly roller-skating sessions to help<br />

keep local families fit and active.<br />

South East Soup<br />

(covering Gorton, Cornbook and Belle Vue)<br />

£5,000 - 1st<br />

Gorton Horticultural Society<br />

Will replace the Society’s toilet blocks, so that they<br />

can hold more community events.<br />

£2,000 - 2nd<br />

Gorton Visual Arts<br />

Will develop the ‘All Along Hyde Road’ project,<br />

focusing on the history of the many pubs that used<br />

to be there and gathering local people’s stories to<br />

create a visual exhibition.<br />

£1,000 - 3rd<br />

Primary Cooking and Nutrition<br />

Will promote healthy eating and nutrition through<br />

school activities and positive food experiences.<br />
