actively in class, make

A modern liberal arts
education
The demanding liberal
arts curriculum at Northridge
inspires students
through timeless works
of the western tradition.
These sources challenge
students and develop their
understanding of the true,
the good, and the beautiful.
The curriculum produces
students with clear
thinking and strong writing.
Math and Science are
part of the liberal arts, and
Northridge offers a full
suite of AP and Honors
classes. Since 2012 nearly
70 percent of all Northridge
students scored a 3
or better on their AP exams.
Mentorship
Northridge’s faculty are
not only great teachers,
but are also role models
whose example inspire our
students. In Northridge’s
unique Advisory Program,
each student receives a
long-term faculty mentor,
and they meet monthly and
discuss study habits, character
development, and
academic choices.
Growth and faith
If interested, students
can take courses on the
Catholic Faith appropriate
for each grade level. Daily
Mass, the sacrament of
Confession, and spiritual
guidance from a full-time
chaplain are all available
each day.
Community and
partnership with parents
Northridge exists to
support parents - the primary
educators of their
sons - in their vocation as
parents. Northridge lives
that partnership in several
ways. Firstly, through a
relationship with the student’s
advisor - who meets
annually with parents to
discuss insights about their
son. Secondly, through
workshops that discuss
how to raise young men.
Thirdly, through consistent
communication from
faculty - who proactively
correspond with parents
about both the challenges
and successes they see at
school.
Beyond the classroom
Northridge athletes compete
in the following varsity
sports: soccer, golf, cross
country, basketball, baseball,
and track and field.
Additionally, Northridge
offers club tennis and sponsors
students in swimming.
Northridge also has vibrant
music and theater programs
with an a capella choir,
High School and Middle
school jazz bands, a string
quartet, and two yearly theater
productions. In total
Northridge features over 25
clubs including robotics,
computer coding, debate,
and photography.

Woodlands Academy’s Center for Global Studies offers a comprehensive academic and
