largest plantations in the county. In 1888 the property was sold to the Korth
Family. The Korth’s children and grandchildren were deeded the property and
they resided here until 1969 when the property was then purchased by Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas A. Bullock of Houston, Texas. The home has been lived in
and well cared for since it was built in 1836. Mr. and Mrs. Bullock restored
the homestead back to the 1890 period with taking good advice and direction
from the previous owners.
