Overview<br />
Conservation of our environment is more<br />
important than ever before with the concerns that<br />
human impact has on our world.<br />
You will carry out surveys in woodl<strong>and</strong>s, rivers,<br />
ponds, peat bogs <strong>and</strong> farms, learning about our<br />
native wildlife <strong>and</strong> their habitats.<br />
You will learn to be responsible for maintaining<br />
the infrastructure of a country or national<br />
park <strong>and</strong> learn fencing, path construction <strong>and</strong><br />
maintenance, hedge-laying, gate <strong>and</strong> stile<br />
construction <strong>and</strong> pond/river maintenance.<br />

If you want a h<strong>and</strong>s-on career working outdoors<br />
building <strong>and</strong> maintaining outdoor spaces/<br />
gardens this course offers a varied role<br />
throughout the year including tasks such as<br />
building patios <strong>and</strong> fences, using l<strong>and</strong>scape<br />
machinery <strong>and</strong> plantsmanship. Gain knowledge<br />
<strong>and</strong> skills in hard <strong>and</strong> soft l<strong>and</strong>scaping such as<br />
paving <strong>and</strong> planting, <strong>and</strong> develop knowledge<br />
of machinery including strimmers, mowers <strong>and</strong><br />
rotovators.<br />
