Overview<br />
Gain essential knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills for a<br />
successful career in domestic plumbing <strong>and</strong><br />
heating. The course provides all the basic<br />
domestic heating <strong>and</strong> plumbing training to<br />
prepare you to start work in the industry<br />
including; Domestic hot <strong>and</strong> cold water systems,<br />
central heating systems, sanitation systems <strong>and</strong><br />
environmental technologies.<br />
The course covers:<br />
• Health <strong>and</strong> Safety<br />
• Communication<br />
• Science principles in plumbing <strong>and</strong> heating<br />
• Pipework fabrication processes <strong>and</strong><br />
techniques<br />
• Domestic cold water system installation <strong>and</strong><br />
maintenance<br />
• Domestic hot water system installation <strong>and</strong><br />
maintenance<br />
• Domestic central heating system installation<br />
<strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />
• Above ground drainage<br />
• Underst<strong>and</strong>ing electrical systems within<br />
building services engineering<br />
• Maths <strong>and</strong> English unless achieved GCSE<br />
