We can make your dreams of a white Christmas come true
for your family! Combine an adventurous voyage with
festive celebrations in spectacular Antarctic settings. Go
ashore on isolated beaches, encounter incredible wildlife
in haunting landscapes, and kayak in untouched waters
with icebergs floating by. On board, you’ll celebrate the
holidays in one of the Earth’s most remote regions, with
penguins, seals, and whales. Let the adventure begin!
Highlights Include
Crossing the Drake Passage: Learn about historic
expeditions, geology, and wildlife in Antarctica as
you cross the Drake Passage. Lectures, photography
lessons, and sessions in the science center make your
visit to Antarctica even more interesting. Plus, watch
your “Young Explorers” get involved in their own fun,
educational, and interactive program.
Cruising Antarctica: Ply the waters of Antarctica
for eight days and explore massive icebergs, turquoise
glaciers, and bustling penguin rookeries. Sites of interest
may include Deception Island, Half Moon Island, Brown
Bluff, and more.
Wildlife: Watch for breaching fin, humpback, and minke
whales; crabeater and Leopard seals; Adélie, chinstrap,
and gentoo penguins; and countless seabirds, including
cape petrels, skuas, and possibly the impressive albatross.
Active Adventure: Take small boat excursions amid ice
floes, explore rocky shores and wildlife up close during
shore excursions, and even make a new path by snowshoe.
Midnatsol: Built in 2003 for the Norwegian coast, the
Midnatsol was rebuilt in 2016 and operates mainly in
polar regions. The ship provides top safety technology
and comfortable expedition-style accommodations and
amenities, triple occupancy for families, and a wraparound
deck for superb viewing opportunities. The expert
naturalist team and science center contribute to your
in-depth learning. Find more details on our website.
