<strong>Bradford</strong> <strong>City</strong> welcome <strong>Fylde</strong> today in the first<br />

round of the FA Women’s Premier League<br />

Cup.<br />

Team news<br />

The Bantams will be without two key players<br />

today – defender Paige Crosby and playermanager<br />

Charlotte Stuart.<br />

Crosby had to be stretchered off in the draw<br />

with Nottingham Forest last week after<br />

suffering a nasty looking knee injury.<br />

Stuart too was substituted in that game after<br />

a facial injury which required 20 stitches.<br />

Current form<br />

<strong>Bradford</strong> come into the game looking for their<br />

first win of the season, following defeat at<br />

Leicester and a draw against Forest.<br />

<strong>Fylde</strong>, meanwhile, convincingly beat last<br />

year’s runners-up Middlesbrough 3-0 on the<br />

opening weekend, before their clash with<br />

Derby County was postponed last Sunday.<br />

Previous meetings<br />

These two have faced each other twice since<br />

the launch of <strong>Fylde</strong>’s ladies’ side, with today’s<br />

visitors winning both encounters.<br />

Hannah Smith is also a doubt this afternoon<br />

with a groin problem.<br />

However, these blows are cushioned as the<br />

hosts welcome back both Ellie Olds and Lucy<br />

Preston.<br />
