What’s on
Barbican House, by the castle, will be welcoming guests to the Museum offering
spinning demonstrations and a children’s trail round the galleries. All this to the dulcet
sound of choirs singing carols at the castle entrance.
There’s plenty more treats and entertainments at the top of town, make sure you don’t
miss out!
The Christmas Craft Fair makes a welcome return this year at Lewes Town Hall (Fisher
Street entrance). With over 60 stalls and free entry, you’ll be sure to find that unusual
Christmas gift. And, round the corner, the pop up gallery at 2 Fisher Street is back: this
year it features local artist Kelly Hall.
Santa’s Grotto will take up residence once again in Lewes House on School Hill. It’s a
lovely treat for the kids, but for parents as well with mulled wine while you wait.
Cliffe Precinct will have its usual festive stalls, food retailers and small children’s
fairground style rides.
Harvey’s Brewery will host their traditional yard event from 6pm–9pm where you’ll
be able to enjoy music, a hog roast & BBQ, vintage vehicles, heavy horses and a wellstocked
bar, which will be serving the newly released Christmas Ale.
Blackpowder Morris Dancers will be dancing in the Cliffe area and we’re delighted
to welcome back Silver Sounds, a samba band to entertain you while adding some
razzmatazz to your shopping experience.
Lewes & District Dementia Action Alliance will be based for the night at the SCDA
charity shop by the War Memorial, where they are offering information, refreshments
and music.
