Henry smiled, and said, " I am going to make
up a bouquet for Mrs. Starr. You know how
fond she is of flowers,
and how much she is con
fined to the house by her cares and duties, and
I would gladly make her one birthday present
of this sort.
Have you anything to say against
it?"
" 0 no, not a word. I am most heartily glad
of it. You have been making presents to-day
for the body, and also for the mind ; now you
are paying some attention, I see, to the feel
ings and taste. Mrs. Starr is a woman of great
sensibility, and the reception of a little bunch of
flowers will do her a great deal of good. But
how will you get it to her ? It is a long way to
Mrs. Starr's."
" Why, mother, I never thought of that. But
