It’s an original show created exclusively for Temple Shalom. “We Are One: A Musical Celebration” will be directed by an award-winning New York City director, conducted by a Broadway musical director, and feature a professional New York cast along with outstanding local talent. Interspersed with songs of love, freedom, harmony, and numbers from the Great American Songbook, will be inspirational verses read by a variety of clergy and prominent individuals. Stirring projections will accompany many songs. That evening, the Temple Shalom Award for Social Justice will be presented to local philanthropist, author and Guadalupe Center Senior Board member Phil Beuth. Students from the highly-regarded Guadalupe Center Tutor Corps in Immokalee will be the special guests of Temple Shalom for the evening and dinner prior to the show. Another creative and unique aspect of this fundraiser is that on Saturday evening, March 10, sponsors at the $300 level and up will be invited to an elegant salon dinner where professional entertainers will perform their signature songs and Broadway favorites. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Temple Shalom continue its mission to have a positive impact on our community. A limited number of $18 student tickets and $45 general admission tickets are available. Sponsorships at the $125 level include the show and a lavish dessert reception with the cast.
