2018 GALA
What an amazing night it was at Spiegel Farms for
the third annual Year-End Awards Gala, the perfect
venue for our members. This historic equestrian
venue dons huge oriental rugs as you walk into the
aisle ways, which are filled with vintage wagons,
eclectic artwork, and beautiful wrought iron stalls
filled with fun farm antiques. In the banquet room
the decoration was nothing short of elegant!
With around 100 members in attendance, the room
was full of excited conversation and cheer. It was really good to be able to catch up with
members we haven’t seen since show season and celebrate those that were winning year-end
award prizes! Each attendee received two raffle tickets, an FRC t-shirt and locally crafted
Dressage-inspired chocolates as favors!
Cocktail hour included a delicious and colorful Crudité and Pimento cheese platter. People
snacked and settled in while de-thawing from the frigid temperatures outside. There was a lot
of buzz around the raffle table as people decided which prizes to
try to win.
There was a $100 gift certificate to Huckleberries Restaurant-
YUM!

The ‘Bucket of Barn Goodies’ donated by FRC Sponsor Landrum
Hardware was overflowing with odds and ends that you always
need around the barn from an
insulated spigot cover to spray
bottles and extension cords!
Dinner was catered by Stone Soup and did not disappoint!
Guests enjoyed an assortment of Parmesan-Herb Baked
Salmon, Vegetable Lasagna, Chicken Florentine Pasta, fresh
spring greens salad, and to top it off- there was even a mashed
potato bar. Dessert was assorted treats, bars, and of course,
there were horse-shaped cookies! (Good thing we don’t have to
squeeze into our show breeches for another two months!)
