Benchmark Homes’ latest show home is testament to
the new direction being forged by the company, says its
Director Richard Evans. For a solid six months Richard
and his team of innovative designers have been working
hard to create a new portfolio of 30 concept plans that
focus on functionality and form.
“During this intensive design period we really challenged
ourselves by asking how we could do things better in a
cost effective way. The Lincoln show home illustrates a
distinctive new style that characterises our ethos which
prizes high functionality and unique design above all
else.”
Due to the popularity of their Prestons show home they
adapted the executive style home to accommodate a
family lifestyle. “By retaining its elegant contemporary
style throughout and the U shaped living area that
proved to be the home’s key selling point we’ve received
overwhelmingly positive feedback that aligns perfectly
with today’s design savvy consumers.”
With a firm focus on strong design and high functionality,
the Lincoln show home uses natural products like
marble and cedar, as well as on-trend painted brick,
which provides a unique architectural aspect. Richard
explains that its architecturally driven design is evident in
standout features like the magnificent vaulted ceilings,
which elevates the living area to majestic heights.
Energy efficiency is a key component of all Benchmark
Homes. Using natural timbers like cedar from a local,
sustainable supply, integrating LED lighting, skylights
that add warmth and light, clever window placement that
maximise all day sun, and a substantially thicker floor
underlay, all work together to create modern homes that
are both sustainable and economical to run.
Quality control and attention to the finer details is what
sets Benchmark Homes apart. Since the quakes
