SPRING GROUP SHOW
50 Works Gallery’s Spring Group
Show features new works from 18
artists who have exhibited at the
gallery throughout the year, along
with works from guest artists.
Works in the exhibition include
sculpture, paintings and prints.
This show is open Thursday and
Friday, 2pm-4pm and Saturday
and Sunday, from 11am-4pm.

IGNITE AND EXCITE
The latest collection of works
from the Eastside Gallery
showcases art from Keith Morant,
Henry Sutherland, Ross Gillies
and Damian Holt. The pieces
have been created by drug
users, those in recovery and
workers in the addiction sector.
It is presented by Christchurch
Community Arts Council, on
behalf of Christchurch Drug
and Alcohol Service and the
Christchurch Opioid Recovery
Service. It runs Monday to Friday,
11am to 4pm and Saturday, noon
until 3pm.

TWILIGHT FAIR
Go and enjoy an evening of
entertainment for the whole
family. There will be lots of food
stalls with many different types

entertainment for the children
too, with bouncy castles and
obstacle courses.

Pier. The display will start at
9.10pm, with a light show under

stalls will be open from 5pm so
go along early, get a comfy spot
among the dunes and settle in.

in the auction which has many
prizes up for grabs. There will be
entertainment for children too,
with trampolines, bouncy castles,
a kidzone and other games.

FAIR
This is the school’s big
fundraising event for the year,
and money raised will go towards
the redevelopment and upgrade
of the playground and sporting
areas of the school. There is a

this year where you can pick
up bargains galore and unique
gifts including crafts, cakes and
baking, plants and produce, toys
and books and much more.

FAERIE PICNIC
The faeries are having a picnic
and you’re invited. There will
also be a Teacup Faerie Garden
Competition, so make a faerie
garden in a teacup and put it on
the judging the table and you
could win. There will be games
like faerie, faerie, where’s your
door, sneaking up on the wizard,
and duck, duck, goose. Also,
there will be a garden tour, free
face-painting, giant bubbles and
hula hoops. Bring a picnic blanket
and something to eat and drink.
The faeries will bring some baked
treats to share with everyone.

CONCERT OF JAPANESE
MUSIC BY KOYU-KAI
Koyu-kai is a group of local
musicians who play Japanese
instruments. Learn more about
the culture and music that has
been played for centuries in the
country. The group is celebrating
20 years with a programme of
three traditional pieces, two
contemporary pieces and a slide
show of a traditional Japanese
folktale. The musicians will
also wear traditional Japanese
kimono. Doors open at 2pm.
