1st XI Girls<br />
Football <strong>2017</strong><br />
The Lincoln High School Girls’ First XI football team<br />
has had a fantastic season, winning every match<br />
in their Girls’ Premier Division 2 league so far. In<br />
the current round, they have scored 37 goals while<br />
conceding only 4. The girls are all very eager to<br />
finish off on a high, hopefully with a win in the final.<br />
This year, the girls hope to follow up on their<br />
strong performance in the local school league with<br />
a successful campaign on tournament; which sees<br />
them heading up to Blenheim to compete in the<br />
Gary Sowden Secondary Schools’ Tournament, a<br />
competition they placed third in last year.<br />
Led from the front by Captain Emma Kench, who<br />
is competing in her fifth and final tournament for<br />
Lincoln High School, this diverse team is keen to do<br />
well and send our senior players off in style.<br />
The team would like to thank their coaches, Troy<br />
Pennycuick and Kahu Christensen, who are both<br />
ex-Lincoln High students, for their commitment<br />
and dedication to the team. Finally, the team<br />
would like to express their sincere gratitude to all<br />
sponsors and supporters that have made this trip<br />
possible.<br />
