Recently, a beacon went into the sky at 4 p.m. on a Friday: A
timesheet was in trouble! And (gasp!) to make matters worse, it was
the end of the timesheet period, and the customer needed a solution
before close of business. The responding hero was Customer Support
Specialist Sami, who – whiz, bam! – jumpstarted a virtual meeting
to solve the problem. Less than 30 minutes later, Sami had saved the
day. The customer, no longer in peril, sent her a note of thanks: “I’ve
worked with a lot of software development companies and used to be
a web developer, and I can attest that I have never received customer
support on this level.”
Messages like this drive the company forward as the fight continues
against manual work. By day, DATABASICS’s employees are developers,
marketers, salespeople, and support team members (or anything in
between); they’re also the true superheroes of the company, pushing
forward innovation and spreading the message about the power of

TPC: What does your story look like moving forward?
AT/MS: We will continue to create innovations in timesheet and
expense reporting, fighting against the evil-doings of manual work.
TPC: What should Microsoft Dynamics Partners expect to see
from DATABASICS in 2018 and beyond?
AT/MS: 2018 is the year for making and building upon our
relationships. We want to expand our reach and team up
with other “superheroes” as their dedicated sidekick (Robin to
Batman, if you will).
The Partner Channel (TPC): What are your backgrounds, and
what inspired you to team up and fight against the spreadsheet?
Alan Tyson and Marcel Syriani (AT/MS): Our accounting
background led to developing a solution in fighting expense reports
and then led to timesheets.
TPC: What sets you apart from other ISVs?
AT/MS: What sets us apart is the fact that we are the only vendor
to combine time and expense, and we have award-winning
customer service unmatched in the industry.
TPC: What is your most popular product and why?
AT/MS: Time + Expense is our most popular product because it
opens communication between critical business systems.
