otta Know entertainment | goTTA know Delray Children’s Garden Celebrates Their 2nd Anniversary The Delray Beach Children’s Garden will be celebrating its second anniversary Sunday, February 11th from 4 to 7pm. The theme of this year’s Gala is Journey to India. There will be Indian cuisine, exotic Indian music and a special Indian garden. Guests will be transported through their senses to the Far East. Artist Jill Karlin, whose book An Artist’s Inspired Journey through India, will do a slide presentation and sell her artwork. Karlin will also share stories of her personal journey through India and Nepal. The Delray Beach Children’s Garden received a $1,000 grant from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca for a commissioned art piece created by the garden children, mentored by Jill. The tile art mural will be displayed in the garden. The Delray Beach Children’s Garden’s mission is to nurture eco-consciousness in children through education, exploration and play in nature’s magical oasis. There are classes, field trips, events and parties. The party features Indian food, plants, art and entertainment - spaces are available to local artisans. There will be henna tattoos, a sari wrapping station, astrology readings and more. Tickets are $25 per adult - children under 16 free.
