<strong>February</strong> Maximus Clinic<br />

After a successful August Clinic we will be offering another opportunity to work with Maximus and trainer<br />

Barbro again this month! There is no better time to get yourself prepared for the upcoming show season or to<br />

simply re-charge.<br />

Have you ever wanted the opportunity to ride a true schoolmaster? What would it be like to ride the<br />

movements of a grand prix dressage horse or take an upper-level event horse for a cross country ride? This is<br />

your opportunity!<br />

<strong>FRC</strong> will be sponsoring a clinic on Saturday, <strong>February</strong> 24th with Barbro Ask-Upmark and TIEC’s Equine Simulator<br />

“Maximus” for a drastically reduced price of $75 per 45-min ride (normally $140) and unlimited auditing.<br />

ABOUT BARBRO<br />

Native of Sweden, Barbro is a GP rider, USDF Gold - Silver and Bronze - medalist, and a 5 star rated rider at<br />

centerlinescores.com. She has taken numerous horses and students to FEI Level, both in Europe and the US, and<br />

is using the world’s most advanced Equine Simulator in her daily training program at TIEC.<br />

Barbro worked at the Mounted Police in Sweden for 15 years, training the Police horses in all kind of situations.<br />

She won many Police jumping competitions as well as showed her Police horse to GP Dressage.<br />

Barbro moved from CA last December to work full time as the Education Manager at TIEC.<br />

ABOUT MAXIMUS<br />

The Event Simulator is the latest and most advanced Simulator in the world. Jumping programs allows the rider<br />

to do everything from an infinity of jumps, practicing position and balance, to a show jumping course of jumps<br />

up to 1.20 showing on 3 big screens.<br />

The computer registers balance and rein pressure over each jump for a read out after the course is finished.<br />

Cross Country course offers a challenging ride on different heights.<br />

Strides can be adjusted and the simulator is reacting just like a real horse, except for doing anything by itself.<br />

The Dressage "horse "can do anything that the rider can do. Sensors for balance, legs and hands shows `6on a<br />

screen for instant feedback.<br />

Ride in the dressage arena and work on basics, GP movements and anything in between.<br />

Barbro stands next to you with instructions in all gaits and situations.
