Until 2014, <strong>Doppelmayr</strong>/<strong>Garaventa</strong> built 40 ropeway install<strong>at</strong>ions in<br />
Sochi - one of which among the longest 3S install<strong>at</strong>ions in the world.<br />
It leads from Krasnaya Polyana to the skiing region Laura, where the<br />
Nordic competitions of the Winter Olympic Games 2014 took place<br />
and has an overall length of 5,383 meters. Furthermore, by order of<br />
Olympstroy, the official organiz<strong>at</strong>ion for Sochi 2014, <strong>Doppelmayr</strong>/<br />
<strong>Garaventa</strong> built a unique 3S gondola lift in the Olympic region.<br />
With an hourly capacity of 4,500 passengers per hour and direction<br />
it is one of the most efficient ropeways in the world and also able to<br />
transport <strong>cars</strong> - a world novelty for 3S ropeways. The 3S gondola<br />
lift consist of two sections and leads from Krasnaya Polyana to the<br />
Rosa Khutor Olympic Village and further on to the so-called Rosa<br />
Khutor Finish Zone. In Rosa Khutor, the alpine competitions of the<br />
Olympic Games of Sochi 2014 were held.<br />
