The new Stoos funicular is a one-in-a-generation
construction, an installation incorporating cutting-edge
ropeway technology, and an attraction
for international guests. It is a funicular like no
other before. The cylindrical passenger compartments
used for the first time compensate grades of
up to 110% – passengers remain horizontally level
irrespective of the incline. Barrier-free loading and
unloading, along with the ability to carry freight
simultaneously, open up plenty of possibilities for
passengers and operator. The proven technology,
combined with modern visual design make the
new funicular up to Stoos an eye-catcher and a
visitor magnet – in all weathers.
