The Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Region offers a diverse range of world-class attractions and activities across
four unique destination areas. Metro Vancouver enjoys a beautiful West Coast location where it’s possible to
golf, kayak and catch an opera all in the same day. Mighty Fraser Country is defined by the Fraser River and
is home to fantastic whitewater rafting, sturgeon and salmon fishing, and plenty of farm fresh food. Sea to Sky
Country features the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway offering ocean and snow-capped mountains. It is a world-class
destination area for hiking, mountain biking, skiing and home to Whistler! Then there’s the Sunshine Coast, where
windswept beaches, serene forests and many art galleries and studios can be found. All things are possible in the
Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Region.
Coast Mountain Circle Route
The Coast Mountain Circle Route starts in Metro Vancouver and explores the mountains, forests, and canyons that make British
Columbia a world-renowned place of wilderness beauty covering almost 593 km (368 mi). Depending on your pace, the tour can
take as little as two days but is best experienced in a more leisurely fashion. You will wind through misty coastal mountains, into
the province’s rain shadow and up on to the dry highland plateau. It takes you through historic Gold Rush Country following the
path of the gold seekers down the raging Thompson and the Fraser Rivers and finally returns to Vancouver.
Super Camping - Vancouver, Coast & Mountains
Sunshine Coast Route 101
25 km northwest of Vancouver via Ferry is the start of Highway 101. This beautiful coastal drive runs along the 130 km (80 mi)
Sunshine Coast from Langdale ferry terminal to Lund, offering lovely views of islands and straits and passing through coastal
towns. This part of BC is the sunniest and driest, and the highway takes you past ten parks popular for fishing, canoeing, diving,
hiking and other outdoor activities. Along the journey are two very different ferry crossings, beautiful inlets, deep fjords, sandy
beaches and stunning forests. Artisan and fishing communities include Gibsons, Madeira Park, Garden Bay, Powell River, Lund
and Sechelt.
