Twenty Seven Steps
YES WAY, FROSÉ
With the hot, dry temperatures we’ve been experiencing
this summer, the return of frosé is more than welcome.
Frozen rosé is my blended drink of choice – pink, sweet
and refreshing, it’s a delicious treat to beat the heat. For
two takes on this summery beverage, visit Twenty Seven
Steps on New Regent Street and Welles Street in the
central city.
NEW OPENING: THE GREY ROBIN
The Grey Robin, formerly Shop Eight, has recently opened on
New Regent Street. The small upstairs dining room seats just 16 people
and is ideal for a small dinner party or a pre-theatre meal. The dining
room appeals to the minimalist, sparingly decorated with grey crushed
velvet chairs and booths. While diners can expect to be treated to quality
fare made from the finest ingredients, The Grey Robin wants everyone to
feel comfortable and there’s a focus on customer service.
HONEY, HONEY
Is anyone else obsessed with honeycomb? I can’t get
enough of the stuff and it’s now available at Ten27, in
their buttermilk pancakes. Served with green tea crumble,
honeycomb butter, orange curd and strawberries – it’s
my favourite breakfast and dessert in Christchurch.
Located in Ferrymead, Ten27 is a spacious all-rounder
and open from the early morning until late.
