They are showbiz royalty who are used to taking<br />
centre stage, but as some of the most famous<br />
names in entertainment gathered for the<br />
wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,<br />
they were happy to let the spotlight fall on the<br />
happy couple.<br />
Hollywood star George Clooney and his<br />
human rights lawyer wife Amal, and David and<br />
Victoria Beckham led the stellar cast of guests<br />
invited inside St George’s Chapel.<br />
Outside, in the grounds of Windsor Castle,<br />
1,200 people who had been invited in recognition<br />
of their contribution to their communities, were<br />
lucky enough to get up close to the stars, who<br />
began arriving at the chapel nearly two hours<br />
before the ceremony began.<br />
HIP HIP HOORAY<br />
The biggest cheers came for Oscar-winning actor<br />
George and former footballer David, of whom<br />
one spectator said: “That’s the real King of<br />
England.”<br />
Looking stunning in a buttercup yellow dress<br />
by Stella McCartney, which matched the glorious<br />
sunshine that blessed the joyful day, Amal smiled<br />
and waved at the cheering crowds as she made<br />
her way into the chapel on the arm of her<br />
handsome husband.<br />
David and Victoria, who had also been guests<br />
at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding<br />
in 2011, arrived hand in hand and were seen<br />
catching up with the Clooneys, Sir Elton John<br />
and his husband David Furnish, and TV host<br />
James Corden and his wife Julia before taking<br />
their seats.<br />
