Once reached the island of Mal di
Ventre, we whooshed on the astonishing
crystal-clear water enjoying
the amazing view. Just as
I felt a little peckish I decided to
park my equipment on the beach
of Cala Saline, I made use of a
SUP lift by the good friend Miguel
and got back aboard for lunch.
Spaghetti with cherry tomatoes,
beer and some fruit. A nap would
have been nice, but time flies and
the Stand-Up-Paddling group set
off to scout around. The SUP is
perfect to stroll up exploring.
And the inflatable models are
ideal to be stowed on a sailing
boat. The activities to do on such
trips, above and under the water,
are endless. Just need to choose
yours!
The light Mistral breeze was still
on when Enrico and myself decided
to return by hydrofoil, but only
hundred metres on and boom
... doldrums! And all the memories
of the tour around Sardinia,
alias Kite Around Sardinia, with
my friend Luca Marcis, strongly
popped back up. Retrieve the bar
and wait for someone to come
and get you, alone and in silence
in the middle of the sea ... how
fulfilling!
DREAM DAYS SAILING AND KIT-
ING
The test day was a success. Us
of Kite Around Sardinia together
with the captain of the Bavaria
Alessandro Dessì, will offer a full
sailing and kitesurfing package
for non-beginners that want to
spend some amazing days on the
Sardinian West coast. Alessandro
can cover routes of several miles
and offer a sailing trip of few
days similar to the one Luca and
myself did last year. Only this
time, we won't disembark, we’ll
stay aboard!".
