WA SENIOR AWARDED<br />
FOUR-YEAR ROTC SCHOLARSHIP<br />
Brad Fratangelo, <strong>West</strong> <strong>Allegheny</strong> High<br />
School senior, has been awarded a fouryear<br />
Army ROTC Scholarship at Penn<br />
State - University Park issued by U. S.<br />
Army Cadet Command. Scholarship<br />
winners are<br />
selected by<br />
Cadet<br />
Command on<br />
the basis of<br />
academic and<br />
leadership<br />
excellence.<br />
Upon<br />
graduation<br />
from Penn State, Brad will be commissioned<br />
as a second lieutenant in the U.S.<br />
Army and anticipates serving on active<br />
duty.<br />
Brad has been involved in JROTC at<br />
<strong>West</strong> <strong>Allegheny</strong>, participating in Color<br />
Guard (most recently as Commander), and<br />
Rifle Team and Drill Team, and holds the<br />
rank of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel.<br />
In addition to his JROTC honors, Brad<br />
placed sixth in the state in Congress at the<br />
Forensics State Championships held at<br />
Susquehanna University in March.<br />
