Jesus Teaching Humility
John 13:1-17
The scripture that forms the lesson for this
week is so rich, and so comprehensive in the
instruction that it gives, that we quote it entire,
from the Revised Version. The mere reading of the
text cannot fail to benefit the reader. Give it careful
and prayerful attention.
The Example
"Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus
knowing that His hour was come that He should
depart out of this world unto the Father, having
loved His own which were in the world, He loved
them unto the end. And during supper, the devil
having already put it into the heart of Judas
Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him, Jesus
knowing that the Father had given all things into
His hands, and that He came forth from God, and
