Surface Hardening Mortar For Concrete Floors
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cement and mineral based, inherently colorful, ready-to-use surface hardening material with
quartz content, which is applied in powder form on fresh concrete.
AREAS OF USE
MegaZemin BYS is used for any and all such spaces as warehouses, factories, restaurants
and shopping malls, which require high abrasion resistance and where dusting should be
prevented. It is suitable for use on horizontal and vertical surfaces in indoors and outdoors
spaces.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application Surfaces
Indoors and Outdoors Floors;
- Fresh concrete
Surface Preparation
• The surface should be robust, dense and should have been properly finished prior to
application.
• The load-bearing concrete of the application surface should be class C25.
• Soft spots, bulges, dust, dirt, such materials as construction residues should be cleaned
from the surface before the casting of the concrete.
Application Methods
• In order to establish whether or not the floor is ready for the application of MegaZemin
BYS following the surface finished in the case of fresh concrete, one should strongly press
his/her thumb on the concrete surface. If such pressure causes a trace in some 3 to 5 mm
depth on the surface, then the surface is read for application.
• Roughly 2/3 of MegaZemin BYS should be spread on the surface, homogenously.
• Once the spreading is complete, the surface should be let rest for MegaZemin BYS to
gather moisture.
• The material should be rubbed into the surface with a low cycle rotary float (mechanical
trowel) and be so ensured to integrate with the concrete.
• The remaining material should, then, also be rubbed into the surface, which should
thereafter be finished.
• Once the surface hardens to such extent that it allows to be walked thereon, the final
finishing should be performed by high cycle finishing.
• Once the surface hardening application is complete, MegaZemin Kür, our surface curing
agent, in order to prevent the formation of contraction cracks and dusting.

application.

Equipment Cleaning
The equipment used should be cleaned with water following the application before the product
dries. The products, the curing of which has been completed, should be cleaned mechanically.

CONSUMPTION
Recommended consumption amount for application on 1 m 2 surface is 4.0 - 6.0 kg. The said
value may vary, depending on the surface and ambient conditions.
PACKAGING
MegaZemin BYS is delivered in net 25 kg kraft bags, which are stowed in 54 pcs. on a 80 cm
x 100 cm palette (1350 kg).
SHELF LIFE
The shelf life of the product is 12 months when stored within non-tampered original packaging
in dry (maximum relative humidity 60 %) and cool (ambient temperature between +5°C and
+25°C) environment.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
The product should be stored within non-tampered original packaging in dry (maximum relative
humidity 60 %) and cool (ambient temperature between +5°C and +25°C) environment.
It should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
The container of the product should be closed firmly when not used.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) as appropriate for easy and safe application.
Application Recommendations
• Due care should be given to prevent the exposure of the material to direct sunlight in hot
weather conditions.
• The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot
surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is
imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for
application in advance.
• The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface
