Priscilla Sharpe, 80<br />

PEABODY — Priscilla<br />

(Bowden)<br />

Sharpe of <strong>Peabody</strong>,<br />

formerly a longtime<br />

resident of Lynn,<br />

passed away surrounded<br />

by her loving<br />

family on Saturday,<br />

<strong>July</strong> 14, 2018<br />

at the age of 80.<br />

Born in Lynn on<br />

Aug. 10, <strong>19</strong>37, she<br />

was the daughter<br />

of the late Howard<br />

and Edith (Clark) Bowden. Priscilla<br />

was raised and educated<br />

in Lynn and was a graduate of<br />

Lynn English High School with<br />

the Class of <strong>19</strong>55.<br />

She went on to dedicate more<br />

than 25 years working as a central<br />

supply technician for both<br />

Lynn Hospital, Union Hospital<br />

and Wakefi eld Melrose Hospital<br />

before retiring in <strong>19</strong>94. After her<br />

retirement, Priscilla went on to<br />

volunteer at the Melrose-Wakefi<br />

eld Hospital for an additional<br />

10 years.<br />

Priscilla married her childhood<br />

sweetheart, Kenneth B.<br />

Sharpe, on Aug. 12, <strong>19</strong>62 in<br />

Lynn. The couple shared more<br />

than 54 years in marriage and<br />

love together, raising and caring<br />

for their family, until Kenneth’s<br />

passing in November of 2016.<br />

Priscilla was a devout Christian<br />

woman. She was a past member<br />

of both the East Baptist Church<br />

in Lynn and the First Baptist<br />

Church in Melrose. In her spare<br />

time, she loved to<br />

be creative whether<br />

it was crocheting or<br />

expressing herself in<br />

wonderfully written<br />

poetry. No time was<br />

better spent than<br />

when she spent<br />

time with her family.<br />

her children, Kelly<br />

Walsh and her<br />

husband, Greg of<br />

Billerica and Glenn Sharpe and<br />

his wife, Kathleen of <strong>Peabody</strong>;<br />

her grandchildren, Molly, Dylan,<br />

and Zander Walsh, all of Billerica;<br />

and her sister, Linda Bowden<br />

of Plaistow, N.H. Several nieces<br />

and nephews also survive her. In<br />

addition to her husband, Priscilla<br />

was preceded in death by her<br />

beloved grandson, Darren Walsh<br />

and her brother, Robert Bowden.<br />

Service information: A funeral<br />

service will be held in the<br />

CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home,<br />

157 Maple St., Lynn, on Thursday,<br />

<strong>July</strong> <strong>19</strong>, 2018 at 7 p.m.<br />

Visiting hours will be held in the<br />

funeral home prior to the service<br />

from 5-7 p.m. A private graveside<br />

service will be held at a later<br />

date in Pine Grove Cemetery,<br />

Reading Municipal Light offers<br />

electric vehicle advice<br />

Plug-in electric vehicles<br />

(PEVs) are getting more popular<br />

due to their environmental<br />

benefits and lower fuel costs<br />

for owners. The Reading<br />

Municipal Light Department<br />

(RMLD) which provides electricity<br />

to <strong>Peabody</strong> and a portion<br />

of Lynnfield said it’s a great<br />

time to buy because there is are<br />

federal, state and local incentives<br />

which lower the purchase<br />

price.<br />

The federal government<br />

offers a credit of between<br />

$2,500 and $7,500 depending<br />

on the capacity of the PEV’s<br />

battery. Visit irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/<br />

plug-in-electric-drive-vehicle-credit-section-30d<br />

to learn<br />

more.<br />

Massachusetts offers a rebate<br />

of between $1,000 and<br />

$2,500 on plug-in electric<br />

vehicles. The amount of the<br />

rebate depends on the make<br />

and model of the vehicle.<br />

Green Program, which works<br />

electric vehicle, and a<br />

$1,000 rebate for the lease<br />

or purchase of a new Plug-In<br />

Hybrid Electric Vehicle PLUS.<br />

Debra Ann “Debbie”<br />

Tisei, of North<br />

Reading, formerly<br />

of Lynnfi eld, passed<br />

from this world to<br />

the next on <strong>July</strong> 11<br />

surrounded by her<br />

family after a period<br />

of declining health.<br />

Tisei was born with<br />

a rare heart condition<br />

that presented<br />

her with many<br />

physical challenges<br />

throughout her 56 years. Her<br />

strong faith in God enabled her<br />

to overcome the odds and live<br />

life to the fullest. Despite the adversities,<br />

she never complained<br />

and always had a smile on her<br />

face. Her positive outlook, grace<br />

and strength was an inspiration<br />

to all who met her. Debbie loved<br />

everyone, and she was loved<br />

by those who were fortunate<br />

enough to have met her.<br />

She was a graduate of Lynnfi<br />

eld High School and attended<br />

Merrimack College. She loved<br />

music and theatre, and was an<br />

active member of the Calvary<br />

Christian Church in Lynnfi eld.<br />

She was an avid Boston Red<br />

Sox fan and enjoyed attending<br />

and watching the games.<br />

Angela and Victoria, and her<br />

sister Denise LeGrow and her<br />

husband, Greg, and their children<br />

Hailey and Evan. She was<br />

preceded in death by her father,<br />

Ralph.<br />

Service information: A Memorial<br />

Service was held on<br />

<strong>July</strong> 14 at the Calvary Christian<br />

Church at 47 Grove Street<br />

in Lynnfield. A reception at the<br />

church followed to celebrate<br />

her life.<br />
