The full-size Chevrolet Suburban is the “most driven” vehicle in the U.S.<br />

according to a recent study, racking up an average 14,299 miles per year<br />

Despite suffering from fuel<br />

economy that’s rated as low as a<br />

paltry 15/22 mpg city/highway<br />

(and with real world mileage<br />

likely to be even less-frugal) the<br />

full-size Chevrolet Suburban<br />

sport-utility vehicle was found<br />

to be the vehicle that racks up<br />

the most miles in the U.S. on an<br />

annual basis. Suburban owners<br />

register an average 14,299 miles<br />

per year, which is 25.1% above<br />

the norm for all vehicles at 11,518<br />

miles, and that’s for one of the<br />

largest “light duty” vehicles in<br />

production.<br />

In fact, among the 10 “most<br />

driven” models, all but one – the<br />

family favorite Honda Odyssey<br />

minivan – are SUVs, with seven of<br />

them being full-size behemoths,<br />

and most coming from domestic<br />

automakers. That’s according<br />

to an analysis of more than<br />
