ROYAL CELEBRATION
THE MAGAZINE FOR BUSINESS LEADERS, MOVERS & SHAKERS
17
As royal wedding fever gripped the nation, several Staffordshire
Chambers’ members joined the party, either holding celebratory events or
producing specialist commemorative gift-ware to celebrate HRH Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day.
We take a snapshot look at the businesses who jumped
on board the royal event of the year.
Dreamair
The Stoke-on-Trent giftware company, Dreamair created a full range of Royal Wedding
memorabilia.
Specialising in the production of specialist giftware for all occasions, the business
produced a selection of items including a heart tin, coaster, fine bone china mug
and an enamel mug to celebrate the big day.
Mair Williams, Owner of Dreamair, said: “As we specialise in producing personalised
giftware for special occasions, how could we not produce something bespoke to mark
the Royal Wedding? We’re absolutely delighted with the range and they proved to be really
popular with orders coming in from all over the world.”
Emma Bridgewater
Emma Bridgewater produced two
special commemorative
mugs to celebrate the
wedding of HRH Prince
Harry to Meghan
Markle.
The mugs were
handmade in the
Emma Bridgewater
factory and continued
the company’s thirty-year
long history of making royal
commemorative ware.
The first half pint Royal Wedding Mug
features elegant scripting with the
groom and bride’s names and wedding
date, as well as text that reads: “Game
changers, free spirits, big hearts &
well-suited.” The mug also has a row
of crowns and hearts in
red and blue and comes
complete with a bespoke
backstamp.
The second mug features a classic
hand-applied spongeware design, with
the couple’s names and wedding date,
as well as regal scrolls and crowns in
blue and red.
Emma said: “We are proud to continue
the honourable tradition of making
pottery to mark national events. We
have been making commemorative
ware since 1985, celebrating events
such as the Diamond Jubilee using
traditional techniques in our factory
in Stoke-On-Trent. Royal themed
pottery made in Staffordshire can be
traced back to the time of Charles II,
and we are thrilled to see celebration
through pottery continuing in 2018
with Harry and Meghan.”
