In Upper Austria: Special pho<strong>to</strong> opportunities<br />
include the <strong>Danube</strong>-bend Schlögen, the <strong>Danube</strong><br />
promenades Aschach and Mauthausen, the Engelszell-,<br />
St. Florian-, and Wilhering-Abbeys, Greinburg<br />
Castle and at night, the city of Linz.<br />
In Lower Austria: Special pho<strong>to</strong> opportunities<br />
include the Basilica Maria Taferl, Melk Abbey,<br />
Dürnstein, the Tulln <strong>Danube</strong>-landing with its water<br />
features, Abbey Klosterneuburg, Au Terrace near<br />
S<strong>to</strong>pfenreuth, and Castle Eckartsau (short de<strong>to</strong>ur).<br />

Between <strong>Passau</strong> and <strong>Bratislava</strong>, cyclists can easily<br />
gain new impressions, by changing <strong>Danube</strong> banks<br />
by means of one of the 17 bike ferries. Complementary,<br />
there are also several bridges and water power<br />
plants where, one can cross the river.<br />

Numerous information points along the <strong>Danube</strong><br />
ensure that cyclists are provided with the most<br />
important information. These help you find suitable<br />
accommodation, restaurants, etc.<br />
// E-BIKE CHARGING-STATIONS<br />
& BIKE RENTAL SERVICES<br />
At about 100 e-bike charging stations in Upper<br />
Austria, Lower Austria and Vienna, cyclists can<br />
charge their bike at any time. In addition, around<br />
350 bike rentals (many offering bike servicing) bikes<br />
can be rented..<br />
// BOAT TRIPS<br />
In order <strong>to</strong> truly get <strong>to</strong> know the <strong>Danube</strong> <strong>Cycle</strong><br />
<strong>Path</strong> and its different regions <strong>from</strong> different perspectives,<br />
it may be worth taking a boat trip.<br />

// GETTING THERE<br />
Radtramper Donau: The Radtramper Donau<br />
offers especially those cycling along the <strong>Danube</strong><br />
cycle path <strong>from</strong> Vienna <strong>to</strong> <strong>Passau</strong> or back, the<br />
possibility <strong>to</strong> relaxingly travel parts of the route<br />
by train.<br />
// LEGAL NOTICE<br />
The term <strong>Danube</strong> <strong>Cycle</strong> <strong>Path</strong> is used both colloquially,<br />
as well for marketing purposes. To clarify,<br />
the <strong>Danube</strong> <strong>Cycle</strong> <strong>Path</strong> refers <strong>to</strong> the path that has<br />
been made available <strong>to</strong> cyclists along the <strong>Danube</strong>.<br />
However, it is expressly pointed out that parts of<br />
the path are also used by other road users, e.g. by<br />
mo<strong>to</strong>r vehicles or by persons on foot. Across the<br />
entire <strong>Danube</strong> <strong>Cycle</strong> <strong>Path</strong> the StVO (Road Traffic<br />
Act) is applicable, including the obligation <strong>to</strong> drive<br />
on the right (hand side of the road).<br />
